Feb. 12th – $500 # 9212547 – Unclaimed.

Feb. 13th – $500 #9213148  – Susan McLachlan from Grimshaw.

Feb. 13th – Gala 50/50 Claimed – $417.50.

Unclaimed prize money will be held for one month. After this time monies will be foreited as per Gaming legislation.

Eight lucky winners have been chosen to play in the Gillies Stars game on the championship rink. Each player will receive a Clark Gillies New York Islanders jersey and play in the game on Saturday, February 13th at the Party on the Pond. Hall of Famer Clark Gillies himself will be on hand for the festivities. The teams are as follows:

The names were pulled by Summit Oilfied on January 20th 2010.

Saturday, January 16th 2010 An army of bobcats invaded Lac Cardinal
as volunteers commenced their efforts in preparing for this year’s
championship. A total area encompassing 19 acres of snow is in the
process of being plowed along with the first flood. Site preparations
are expected to take 5 weeks leading up to the
tournament. Persons interested in assisting with the site preparations
are asked to contact Cam Geddes at 780-618-7281.

All contest entries must include the child’s name, date of birth,
address, guardian’s name and contact information (i.e. phone & email
address). Information provided will be subject to verification.

Submit your contest entry to albertapondhockey@gmail.com . Winners
will be selected on January 20th, 2010 and will have their names
broadcast on YL Country and KIX 106.

The following contest rules apply:

• Only one entry per child is allowed.
• Children must be between the ages of 6 -11 years of age on February 13th, 2010.
• Entries will be accepted via email only until noon on Monday, January
  18th, 2010
• Prizes must be accepted as awarded. No substitutions will be offered.
  Guardians assume all risks and liabilities associated with their
  child’s participation.
• Eight names will be randomly drawn from the entries received.
  Only the selected participant may receive the designated prize(s).
  Any person found in contravention of these rules will forfeit their
  opportunity to participate in this event.
• Participants must agree to the publication of their names and
  photographs as deemed necessary by the Alberta Pond Hockey
  Association.
• Decisions made by the Alberta Pond Hockey Association are binding.
• Selected entrants must be available to participate in the Trottier
  Stars Pond Hockey Game at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13th, 2010.
  This game will consist of two 10 minutes halves and will be featured
  on the Championship Rink. GOOD LUCK!!!

The 2009 season for the Alberta Pond Hockey Championships began accepting new registrations on September 1, 2008.  If you missed the early bird deals, fear not! A registration fee of $500.00 CAD per team is still available until December 31, 2008. Registration deadline is December 31, 2008. Check the ticker on the home page; spots are going fast! Ask past participants and they will tell you the same thing: this is an event you don’t want to miss.
