Alberta Pond Hockey 2026 Gala

We’re excited to announce The Calverts as the band for the Alberta Pond Hockey Championships Gala Event !

Joe Calvert brings rock-solid guitar skills and a powerful, passionate voice. Abbey Calvert is an outstanding singer with a natural flair for bass. Together, this husband-and-wife duo delivers soulful harmonies, high energy, and a stage presence that’s impossible to ignore.

With a backing band and a sound shaped by years on major stages, The Calverts have shared the spotlight with legends like Kenny Rogers, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Trooper, Mötley Crüe, George Canyon, and more. They have played festivals across Canada and Europe, spent eight years performing onboard Carnival Cruise Lines, and even starred in a TV episode airing internationally.

From well-crafted originals to crowd-favourite classics, this is a show built to entertain.

The doors open at 7pm on March 7 at the Mile Zero Regional Multiplex in the Town of Grimshaw, and the Gala is a 18+ event.  Catering the event will be Step Up Eatery and Norm’s Roadhouse, who are recognized by their excellent menu items and quality ingredients.
