Dear Registered Teams,

It is with great regret that we announce the cancellation of the upcoming Alberta Pond Hockey Championships. After careful consideration and monitoring of weather conditions, it has been determined that the unseasonably warm temperatures have not allowed the ice on the pond to reach the necessary thickness for a safe and enjoyable tournament.

The safety of our participants is our top priority, and we must adhere to the highest standards to ensure a secure playing environment. Unfortunately, the current conditions do not meet these standards, and it is in the best interest of all teams to cancel the event.

We understand the disappointment this may cause, as teams have been eagerly preparing for the tournament. We share in that disappointment and appreciate the effort and enthusiasm each team has put into their preparations.

While the Alberta Pond Hockey Championships will not take place this year, we are already looking forward to the next edition of the tournament. We will work diligently to ensure a fantastic experience for all participants in the future. The Gala event will go on and all registered adult teams will receive 5 free tickets per team. Tickets can be picked up from Beyond 2000 in Grimshaw.

Refund Information:

• Team registration fees will be refunded in full via cheque.
• We appreciate your understanding as we process the refunds efficiently.
